Ascending hyperkaliemic paralysis revealing adrenal insufficiency

Resumo: The case report is about a 27 year old man who was hospitalized because he had an ascending paralytic syndrome with respiratory failure. It was a hyperkalemic paralysis associated to acute adrenal insufficiency. The authors recall the therapeutic characteristics and implications of such a manifestation of adrenal insufficiency.
