A complicated varicella infection
Autor(es): Hofland J,Reinders Folmer S C
Resumo: We describe a young woman with complications of a primary varicella-zoster infection. She was admitted with varicella pneumonitis and developed the syndrome of Guillain-Barré. At admission she also had a myocardial infarction. We stress the lack of symptoms of pulmonary disease and the various neurological complications in varicella infection at older ages. We discuss the possible relationship between varicella infection and myocardial infection.
