Effect of Sumithion L-40S(R) and malathion 96TG ULV spraying at high-rise flats on dengue vectors in Malaysia

Resumo: The effects of ULV spraying of Sumithion L-40S(R) and malathion 96TG were evaluated against sentinel sugar-fed adults and 4th-instar larvae of Aedes aegypti at high-rise flats in Malaysia. The impact of both insecticides on field populations of Ae. aegypti and Ae. albopictus was monitored weekly using ovitraps. Sumithion L-40S(R) showed adulticidal and larvicidal effects and malathion 96TG showed adulticidal effect only.
