A contribuição das bibliotecas digitais para os cursos à distância.

Resumo: Resumo: Devido as grandes transformações sociais, culturais e principalmente com o advento das novas tecnologias da informação e da comunicação, os modelos tradicionais de bibliotecas sofreram uma quebra no seu paradigma estabelecido ao longo dos anos. Isso fez com que as bibliotecas fossem gradativamente sendo adequadas a essa nova realidade, para atender as novas demandas da sociedade proporcionando diferentes formas de interação entre as pessoas e facilitando o acesso remoto a informação. Tal fato contribuiu de forma positiva, pois rompeu barreiras físicas e geográficas, que até bem pouco tempo seriam tidas como um fator de entrave a realização de pesquisas, e promoveu a individualização do aprendizado devido a facilidade de acesso a informação. A importância das bibliotecas digitais para os cursos ministrados a distância, frente à nova realidade das tecnologias da informação e da comunicação, é o objeto de estudo do presente artigo que mostra a transição da biblioteca tradicional para a digital e os diferentes tipos de bibliotecas e analisa a visão de alguns autores sobre o tema biblioteca digital, ainda que em fase de construção, apresentando definições e conceitos que relatam sua origem e evolução. Apresenta a sua contribuição para os cursos ministrados a distância e finaliza com as questões que envolvem o tema sobre direitos autorais. Abstracts: Due to the considerable social and cultural transformations and mainly because of the advent of the new technologies that have been applied to information and communication, the traditional models of libraries have been suffered a breaking in its paradigm that was established throughout the years. This event has forced such libraries to gradually adjust their models to this new reality so as to accomplish with the new demands of the society providing different forms of interaction among people by facilitating their access to the range of available information. This fact brought valuable contributions since it had overcome both physical and geographic barriers that were an impediment factor to the accomplishment of research, and has promoted the individualization of learning due to the easy access to information. The importance of the digital libraries for distance courses taught against the new reality of the technologies of information and communication is the subject of study of this present article that also shows the transition of the traditional library for digital one and the different types of libraries. It also analyzes the vision of some authors regarding digital library as a subject that is still in phase of construction and development presenting definitions and concepts that tell us its origin and evolution. It presents its contribution for the distance courses and finishes with the questions involving the subject on copyrights.
