Resumo: Modular transparent column system was designed to study depth-dependence behavior of mosquito larvae. The system was used in preliminary experiments to evaluate the effect of water depth on the larvicidal activity of Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. israelensis de Barjac against bottom feeder larvae of Aedes aegypti (Linn.) (Diptera: Culicidae), and suggestions for increasing the efficiency of the device are discussed.
