A nonhuman primate model of chikungunya disease
Autor(es): Higgs Stephen, Ziegler Sarah A
Resumo: In preliminary experiments antigen extracts were smeared on slides, bare or coated with barium stearate, and then' treated with homologous and heterologous antisera. It was sometimes possible to differentiate homologous from heterologous sera by measuring the thickness of the adsorbed antibody layer, about 3.0 mµ in homologous and about 2.0 mµ or less in heterologous pairs. However, results were difficult to reproduce and sera could not be diluted more than 1 in 10.
