Resumo: Taking into account the relation existing between the appearance of dengue epidemics and the detection of focci of Aedes aegypti in Havana City and Santa Clara, this paper intends to take of actions against this vector in Primary Health Care, starting from the entomological characterisitics and the rearrangement of the health actions. A distribution by stage was made. 52 students took part and the results of their preparation were satisfactory. Work was done in communities of Santa Clara and in centers of economic interest located in it, then an intensive health exploration was made, and finally, as a resuslt of surveillance more than 100 focci were detected and health actions were taken in the community. It was observed a general lack of entomological knowledge among the persons involved in this work.
