Em busca de um repositório ideal: análise de software baseado em arquivos abertos para a EXPOCOM 2007

Resumo: RESUMO: A Expocom 2007 - Exposição da Pesquisa Experimental em Comunicação Social trouxe importantes modificações tais como: (a) a competição entre os alunos de graduação ocorrerá nas respectivas regiões e no concurso nacional serão encaminhados os colocados em primeiro lugar regionalmente; e (b) todas as ações envolvidas no concurso serão feitas em ambiente digital. Tais alterações exigiram a implantação de um sistema de gestão atendendo, principalmente, os quesitos de avaliação descentralizada e on-line, transparência do processo, preservação da memória e acesso público ao texto completo dos participantes. Este paper relata o estudo comparativo feito entre os software SEER/OJS, Dici/Eprints e SOAC/OCS, de modo a identificar seus níveis de aderência às especificidades do referido concurso. Com base nos critérios tecnológicos aplicados a sistemas e critérios relativos às funcionalidades e serviços agregados analisados em cada software, conclui-se que o sistema ideal para a Expocom 2007 deveria integrar especificidades oriundas dos três software, a saber: a funcionalidade e modelo de gestão do SEER/OJS, o sistema de armazenamento e formatos do Dici/Eprints e o modelo do processo de revisão do SOAC/OCS. ABSTRACT: The Expocom 2007 - Exposition of the Experimental Research in Social Communication has important alterations such as: (a) this year the competition between undergraduate students will be in each Brazilian region first, them the first winner by each region will be in the national competition and also, (b) this year all the process envolved in the competition will be in digital enviroment. This context demanded the implementation of a management system having taken care of, mainly, the questions of decentralized and on-line peer review, transparency of the process, digital preservation of the material submitted and public access to them. This paper decribe the resuls of the comparative study between the software SEER/OJS, Dici/Eprints and SOAC/OCS, in order to identify if they can be usefull to this competition. Based on the results of te analyse of eah software - using the technological criteria applied the relative systems and criteria to the functionalities and analyzed aggregate services th conclusion was that the ideal system for Expocom 2007 should integrate some aspects of each one of them: the functionality and management model of the SEER/OJS, the system of storage and documents formats of the Dici/Eprints and the model of the peer review process of the SOAC/OCS.
