Resumo: The authors report a patient with Guillain-Barré syndrome who developed acute hypertension, reversible posterior leukoencephalopathy syndrome, ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, and reversible cerebral arterial vasoconstriction shortly after initiating intravenous immune globulin therapy. Possible interrelationships and mechanisms of these complications are discussed.
