Resumo: A 67-year-old woman was admitted to our hospital because of rapid hemiplegia of right upper limb paraplegia, left tongue right displacement and left peripheral facial nerve palsy appearing one after another. No bleeding was recognized by head CT and as a diagnosis Brain infarction in the left lower bridge was suspected but after that the symptoms of bilateral peripheral facial nerve palsy and flaccid quadriplegia and disappearance of tendon reflex were completed and from the cerebrospinal fluid / electrophysiological findings it was confirmed with Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) Although the onset pattern as in this example is rare, it is necessary to keep GBS in mind as a differential diagnosis of brain stem infarction.
