Resumo: The duration of the cell cycle and its four phases was determined for a cell line of the mosquito, Aedes aegypti (L.), using high-resolution autoradiography. The total cell cycle time is 12.5 h, with G1 comprising 1.66 h, S--4.5 h, M--3 h, and G2 3.33 h. These results are compared with those of other mosquito species.
