Paediatric features of Dengue and Chikungunya fevers

Resumo: Dengue (Df) - Chikungunya fever (Cf) arbovirosis are booming in the world, because of the plasticity of their pathogens, mutant RNA viruses making the acquisition of sustainable herd immunity - vaccination difficult in humans, - the plasticity of their vectors, the female mosquitoes of the genus Aedes (Stegomya), capable of adapting to different environments. This review summarizes the viral life cycle - epidemiology of these arboviruses, pathogenesis - pediatric aspects of their clinical forms - the basic principles of their treatment - prevention.
