Hemocytes of mosquito larvae

Autor(es): Hall, D. W.; Avery, S. W.

Resumo: Plasmatocytes, oenocytoids, and granular haemocytes inside the anal papillae of larval Culex tarsalis, Psorophora ciliata, Aedes aegypti and A.atlanticus (Dipt., Culicidae) were described following examinations by light and electron microscopy. Observation of these haemocytes is a convenient method of monitoring changes in haemocyte numbers in vivo.
