Resumo: The article focuses on the Zika virus outbreak in the Americas in 2015-2016. It states in October 2015 physicians in Pernambuco saw a significant increase in infants born with microcephaly, with over 3,500 cases reported in the four months following. It mentions scientists at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control announced that Zika can pass from the mother to the fetus.
