Resumo: Brucellosis is an infectious disease caused by gram-negative bacteria of the genus Brucella. Involvement of the gastrointestinal, hepatobilliary, and skeletal systems has been reported frequently in the literature. Involvement of the nervous system is relatively uncommon and has been reported in only 3%-25% of cases of generalized brucellosis. Guillain-Barré syndrome is a prototypical postinfectious autoimmune disease. We report a case of Guillain-Barré syndrome in a 26-year-old woman as an uncommon presentation of neurobrucellosis.
